ALESTA LCD 50-40 is a high-performance marine cylinder oil developed for the cylinder lubrication of low-speed, two-stroke crosshead-type marine diesel engines operating under modern engine and fuel conditions. Formulated with advanced detergent technology and an optimized alkalinity balance, the product provides superior cleaning, sludge control, and wear protection even in applications using low-sulfur and alternative fuels. Designed to meet the requirements of new-generation engines, ALESTA LCD 50-40 delivers performance comparable to high-BN Category II cylinder oils, despite its moderate Base Number (BN 40). Its advanced formulation supports efficient combustion, minimizes deposit formation in piston and ring areas, and helps maintain engine reliability under severe operating conditions.

ALESTA LCD 5040
ALESTA LCD 50-40 is suitable for engines operating on a wide range of fuels, including Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (VLSFO), Ultra Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (ULSFO), LNG, and methanol. It is recommended for applications—particularly in modern engine designs and dual-fuel systems—where a single-oil strategy is preferred to simplify operations and reduce the use of multiple engine oils.
